CALOOSA CARVERS CLUB BUSINESS MEETING FEBRUARY 2, 2022

Larry Roslund, president, opened our meeting. He has some business cards for Alva HARDWOODS for hobby lumber at 7307 SR 80, Labelle, Florida if any are interested in wood for future carvings.
Our Club Luncheon will be next Wednesday, February 9, at 11:00 a.m. after our Club’s carving time. The Club will furnish sandwiches, soda, ice, and paper products.  Marge Robinson has a list of appreciated volunteers bringing salads, desserts, and chips. Members are welcome to invite spouses to lunch.

Any who have not paid their 2022 membership dues are reminded to see Marge Robinson. It’s $40 for single membership and $60 for couple membership. We now have 43 paid memberships as reported by our Treasurer, Nick LoPresti.

A reminder – wipe off your work table each week! Wipes are available on the coffee table. Members are enjoying the treats with coffee. Please sign up for a Wednesday on the sign-up sheet on the coffee table.

Chuck Cusson will be presenting how to make your own bird feet on Wednesday, February 16.

Nick LoPresti announced the 2022 SPRING BAZAAR sponsored by Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Our club will have a table to sell Club Christmas ornaments and your carvings. If you are interested, talk to Nick.

Marge Robinson is making a list of those who would like to purchase Club shirts in colors of ash (gray/white) and stone(tan). Also hats are available to match both colors. Prices will be gotten by Marge from Fred’s Award World on Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers. If you have not signed up yet, see Marge.

Barry Gentile will be presenting today a new way to place the picture on a piece of wood that you want to carve a relief carving. Thank you to our presenters, Barry Gentile and Chuck Cusson.
